When talking with UX designers about prototyping there are a wide variety of opinions and preferences about with prototyping tool to use. Do you go lo fidelity or high fidelity? Does the prototype need to be interactive? How long does it take to build a prototype in a specific tool? Mobile or Web? Desktop or cloud-based? Or, simply, which tool do you like the most?
These are all valid questions and perspectives to take into account when choosing the right tool for the job. However, as our CEO likes to say, “A fool with a tool is still a fool.” In other words, choosing the right tool is secondary to having the necessary skills as a designer and following the right process.
